10 days, 6 states, and 1986.7 miles = one great trip.
The wife and I and another couple that we are fortunate to call friends headed out from home to take in the Gulf Coast line and the Natchez Trace. The first day was just a 427 mile run down I-75 more or less to stay in Tifton, GA. BTW it was still pretty cold here (40 something) when we left in leather jackets and chaps, shown here at a local Harley shop to buy a much needed saddle bag cooler.
From there we left the interstate and headed toward the Gulf coast to ride the coastal roads down toward New Orleans. The destination for the day was Panama City but as you can see we took the long route, 233 miles.
Okay enough beach time, let’s head down the coast to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area. Only 132 miles the next leg but we took many stops and every small beachside road we could find.

The next leg was the most impressive beach riding I’ve ever seen. The sand was incredibly white. This stretch and the next day we traveled through areas that are still greatly affected by hurricane Katrina. Lots of folks haven’t built back yet.
