Any of the Marriott properties are excellent in downtown Memphis...IMO. I also would challenge the comments related to safety...very well policed (around Beale St.). We walk most places and ride the trolley back and forth from the Hotel. Normally the wife and I take the car instead of the bike (so I have no recommendation for bike parking).

How about this one ..

Courtyard by Marriott Memphis East/Bill Morris Parkway
3076 Kirby Pkwy, Memphis, TN 38115
93 to 109 a night.

I dont mind paying an extra few bucks. But the guy Im with does .. I suppose he has a point. We will be getting there probably around 7 or 8pm and hitting the road when the sun comes up.

The peabody is nice with the parking garage and expensive, I wouldn't leave my bike anywhere around there, it'll be gone before the motor gets cold, Beale st is nice and fun just be back at your room by dark, that applies to anywhere in that area, you'll get mugged in a heartbeat, and no, I don't go there anymore, plenty other places to go without the dangers, sorry to be the party pooper but those people can sniff out a tourist quick, go a little further east to Nashville, way better, more to do

We rode up to Memphis about three or four years ago. We stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street from the Peabody. They had a parking garage. We locked the bikes up. We walked down the Alley and ate at Rendezvous and then went to Beale St and stayed until about 1130 and walked back to motel.

The next morning we went to Graceland. It is ok if you have never been. Go see the ducks walk at The Peabody.

I have also heard it is a rough place. Got an old HS buddy that is a cop there. He likes it when they run.
