If you plan to go there, be prepared for a traffic jam way before the town.

Last time I was there in 2004 you could not see the street in town, it was a sea of people, a solid mass that you had to inch your way through with horn needed due some of the more drunken party people.

We went through the town to get to Devil's Tower and planned on partying in town on the way back. No luck, as the State Police had the road into town blocked off to all traffic due to the huge mass already in the place!!!

 

We rode thru 2005, I don't think it was Wed. Traffic was not a problem A cold front had moved in and it was 40 degrees. The thing that amazed me was the people climbing Devils Tower. You had to look close to see them but there were several.
