Alaska road trip
Hello, I am planning an Alaska trip for the future. If you Great Northwest Riders could advise me on the "Must see routes" and the "Don'twaist you time Routes", it would be greatly appreciated! I doNOT plan on riding to the Artic circle and would like to avoid any dirt road that is over a few miles long. Ihave read about the road construction and expect to see it.My plan comes thru Lake Louise and Continues up the Alcan. My return route is in question. What about the Ferry system&(cost) as compaired to say,Hwy 97?. Places to stay, see,camping, This is my dream trip and hope to take the time to do it right. Alsowhen is the best time to avoid the rain and notfreeze? Thanks in advance to all those who respond!

If you are going on the ALCAN get yourself a copy of the Milepost. I used it when I drove out of Alaska in 1992. It tells youwhats on the ALCAN mile by mile. It was useful to me back then. Just an idea.
