We took a trip to southern Indiana this past weekend and stayed in a place called Rising Sun. They have a riverboat casino there, but we didn't go for the gambling. We ate at a place down the street from our hotel called Courtyard Cafe. Very nice place. Enjoyed great food in the courtyard behind the restaurant and listen to some live music while we ate and drank too many bottles of wine.

The motel was along the Ohio River built in 1816.


Had a nice view from our second story porch outside the room.




Second day we head over to Rabbit Hash in Kentucky (directly across from Rising Sun). To get there we had to ride up the river to a crossing. Both sides of river have nice roads to ride along the river.

When you're looking for somewhere to ride, think about riding along the Ohio River on both sides in Indiana and Kentucky. I think you will find it worthwhile.

 

The Ohio side isn't all that bad either

 

Go to Rabbit Hash all the time. Its a great ride up 42 from Louisville. Get a burger and a beer and sit out on their picknick tables and watch the boats go buy.
