Need some non-interstate route ideas. Any help appreciated!

 

I rode US17 from Jacksonville to Savanna. It was a good ride. From Savanna to Augusta is still unexplored by me so I cant help on that.

 

if you have a gps put in no highways or toll roads . see what comes up

 

Thanks, Classic Eagle. Route now includes US17. So my route from Orlando to Morristown, TN looks good - unless I see another good suggestion. Leaving Tuesday. I'm ready to ride.

 

Here's one of my routes I enjoy...

For you, go rt 40 to A1A and cross the river at Mayport (ferry about every 15 minutes) to amelia rd, (shortcut to rt 200 by airport) Left to rt 17 and then follow North to SAV, you can avoid Brunswick at I95 exit 29 to exit 42 and back on 17 or just follow 17 over the bridge it's not to bad. up thru Darien,Eulonia,Midway,Richmond Hill to SAV.
once past Richmond Hill it starts getting crowded and is 4 lane. When in SAV 17 if alittle confusing past 516. If your going to stay in SAV there you go.
To Bypass:
Rt 17 to Rt 204W towards Pembroke go rt 67, 46 (Metter),121 (Millen, then up into Agusta area. Mostly 2 lane until Augusta area..
