Default Iron Butt ride to Savannah

We left about 5 am this morning and travelled 500 miles to Savannah. Got there about 1:15pm then spent about an hour and a half looking around at the dealer then eating at Hooters next door. We got back home by 11:15pm after riding approximately 1,015 miles.
Good times...

Here's the 3 other guys I rode with

Fantastic! Tell us about your route. I've been planning a route that leaves from Atlanta then through Savannah as a first stop.

It wasn't the most scenic or exciting route it was just straight down 95 to the Savannah Harley dealer.
Me and the guy with the blue sweatshirt have done a few Iron Butt rides but the other 2 guys, this was their first attempt at one so we wanted to do a fairly simple one. The speed limit was 70 most of the way down 95 and it was a straight shot. Best to keep it simple I think when doing these kinds of rides.

It started off chilly leaving Virginia down 58 enroute to 95 and by the time we got to Georgia that afternoon it was hotter than Oprah after falling in a vat of hot fry grease. The ride back was cooler after we got out of Georgia and very nice.

Like I said it wasn't exactly scenic and I know lots of people don't care for highway riding but as for me I don't care where I ride as long as I ride. It's just fun to get on the bike and ride all day and into the night.

Looks like we had the same great idea for this past Saturday, lol.
Congratulations on your ride.
