Hey all, looking for suggested routes for a 2 day trip starting and ending in Las Vegas, thanks!

 

I'll give bullet points of a ride we did last spring it was quite enjoyable.
-Hoover dam
-Rt 66 from Kingman to Seligman
-Grand canyon
-Observe the giant hole in the earth
-We stayed in Valle,AZ but Tusayan would have worked too.
-Road I40 from Williams back to Kingman-Actually more scenic in my opinion than the Historically flat and desolate Rt 66.
-Got on rt 66 in Kingman and road west over Sitgreaves Pass to Oatman (Great ride)
-Laughlin
-Back to Vegas.

 

How many miles are you comfortable doing in a day? It also depends on where you live, where you've ridden before, and how often you get "out west". Assuming you live in Las Vegas, and that you'll be able to ride southern Utah later when you have a few more days, here's what I would do:

Hoover dam, 93 to Kingman
Rt. 66 from Kingman to Seligman
I-40 East to William, then north on 64 to the Grand Canyon.
64 East to Cameron
89 South to Flagstaff and on down to 89A to Sedona
Make my way over to Prescott and on over to 93
Northwest on 93 to Kingman
From there, the suggestion of going to Oatman, Laughlin and back to Vegas sounds good to me.
