My wife has agreed to join me on a road trip this summer. The dates will include our anniversary. That night we will be in Lewiston, Idaho. I would like to stay someplace nice, not like where I usually stay.

Any suggestions?

 

The Red Lion Inns are typically very nice places to stay. The one in Lewiston has been there for a few years but I imagine it's still one of the top places. Now, if you happen instead to find yourself about 115 miles to the north in Coeur d'Alene, you could get a room at The Coeur d'Alene Resort with a lake view and you would be scoring big points on your anniversary. Take her for a sight seeing cruise and check out some of the places downtown for dinner, etc.

 

The CDA Resort would be fantastic, but adding 115 miles to the day is not an option. Also, we're planning to ride Hwy 12 over Lolo Pass the next day, which should be a highlight of the trip. I really do appreciate the info on the Red Lion though, thanks.

Anyone have suggestions for a really good restaurant in Lewiston or Clarkston?

 

Check out www.ridetoeat.com A couple of years ago I suggested a place called McCullens. Its on Main Street. It looks pretty upscale but they cater to all and the wife & I had a fantastic experiance there. I think a good choice for an aniversary.

 

There is a Casino with a nice Hotel just east of town on HWY 12. There is also Locosha Lodge on Lolo Pass is another nice place with Rooms and some cozy cabins as well.
