Default Coronado Trail

Rode the Coronado in Eastern Arizona outside of Phoenix a couple years ago. Jumped over into New Mexico and Black Mountain Range. Good ride. Also any time I'm out ridin is a good road trip, just as long as I'm ridin.

My Wife and I rode our Dynas on the Coronado a couple years back and we did'nt know what to expect when we started out.
To say the least, we were pleasantly surprised when we finished up in Morenci that day.
I would say it's like 20 Dragons Tails in 1 road because you'd finish up a set of curves then hit a straight for a few miles and then see a sign that say's you've got 10 miles of curves ahead and it would be like that for the entire ride.

I consider it the best ride in AZ. I didn't ride it last year. I need to get back up there after the snow melts.

Rode it last year. On of my favorite roads! Just remember to watch the tar snakes in some of the switchback turns.

Yea. Rode it with an ol' Army buddy. We stayed at a motel in Morenci after coming back across from New Mexico. Spent way too much time at the little bar across the road. Had a blast, hope to get back out there soon.

Rode it a couple of years ago the day before the big fires. Wanted to stop at Hannegan Meadows and saw a sign which turned out to be just a turn off to a camp ground. Back on the road we went and 1/2 mile down the road we see the lodge. Well....great reason to stop again and have a beer. This ride from the Clifton side was one of the best I've taken. Agree with the warning about the tar snakes though.

I live just north of the Coronado Trail and I have to say it never gets old, I love that ride. I usually head south on the trail then head over to Globe then take the Salt River Canyon back to the house. It makes for a great day of riding.

It's past October they had re-sealed most of the road and the tar snakes were gone.

Thanks for the news. It's such an awesome road. I'm glad to hear it's being well maintained.
