I have a 2018 Road Glide that picked up used. Came with amp, Faring sperakers, lower faring spearkers, and speakers in the lid. Had the radio flashed for the fader option. Did not work. Have the option, but not working. Today I went exploring. The amp is set for 2 channel, when switched to 4 channel nothing. I do not have a input for the rear speakers so I am thinking this is the issue. Is there a plug hidden on the harness for the rear input? Any help to get the fader to work?

 

Hello. Sounds like you have a GEN 1 kit, those did not have a rear input which means the 2-channel setting on the amplifier is correct. Adding a rear input will not increase the performance, all it does is add the fader. If you want that functionality then you will either need to make your own rear connection to the radio or buy the newer RFK-HD14 wiring kit which provides a Front and Rear input.

 

Can you send a part number for that part. If it's the listed kit above,I don't need everything just that one harness.

 

That harness is not available separately, it only comes in the kit. So you are buying a full kit for a fader.
