Yellowbird, 2016 CVO Street Glide 110 is now a liquid cooled motor. Same setup as on the Ultra Limited 103 versions. I actually like that a lot considering how hot the air cooled 110 was. It sounds like the liquid cooled 110 runs considerably cooler. That is good news.

Big difference with 103" vs 110" when it comes to HEAT & NOISE.

More Cubes, More Heat. Pretty normal.
Changing headers, pipes, and Turner (Dyno) will make a big difference as well in heat!

Noise in 110" is pretty normal too, in a sense that they have always been nosier then 103" motors. The Valve springs, SE255 cams, SE Lifters, 110" Heads, open Stage 1 Air Filter, etc, etc. ALL combined have notoriously made the 110's much louder.

Unfortunately, (if I am correct) the 2012 CVOs had the WORST SE LIFTERS installed from stock!
Lots of folks with that model years complained about them motors being very loud.

Isn't the 2016 CVO Street Glide still air cooled?
That's the model your asking about right? I think you'll be in fine shape!!!

Bearcat,

Okay thanks! I never even noticed that the CVO Street Glide is now a "Wethead"!

The CVO Street Glide is pretty Badazz!

I think my 2014 CVO Limited runs cooler than the 2011 103" motor my work bike had. It's not an enormous difference, but one that can be felt. The best part of having a wet head is that it doesn't lose power when it heats up. The air cooled bikes pull back on timing when they heat up and that robs power big time. For what it's worth, I rode my 2011 almost every day, and my 2014 has almost 11k miles.

I'll add a bit of the same information already provided to you. I had an 2011 CVO SG and now have a 15 CVO Sg.

Yes, it runs a little cooler. Even on the hottest days the 15 never gets as hot as the 2011 did. The 15 is still ticky up top, its a HD motor, it is what it is.

Additonally, the Rushmore CVO's have a few upgrades/changes which your 12 does not.

Bigger Front Forks I believe now 49mm lowers.
Linked Braking System
Re Design of outer fairing
The Boom 2 Audio and infotainment system, its not perfect but its nice!
Stock LED headlight
Twin Cooling
New Style Saddlebags

If your ready and there is a color you like go for it!! I'm really enjoying my 2015 so far!

Considering a 2016 CVO Street Glide so was just wondering about the new liquid cooled 110 motor. I have never rode a liquid cooled Harley yet. Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Just my 2 cents. I bought the '15 CVO Street Glide. My previous bike was an '09 Road King Classic. In my opinion, the 110 on the CVO runs extremely hot and is also pretty noisy. When I took it in for the 1000 mile service I asked the tech about this. He said that those have been the two biggest complaints about the 110 (hot and noisy). I plan on changing the pipes and getting some motor work done this winter, so we will see if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the feedback East Coast. Yeah, I am currently running a 2014 Street Glide Special so I am familiar with the Rushmore upgrades. The improvements made to the Rushmore bikes are really outstanding. I would expect the 2016 CVO Street Glide to be a fantastic handling bike.

The 2016 Black Licorice and Cobalt Blue has my attention.

I have a 2012 CVO SG. Had fullsac x-pipe and inserts. I wouldn't say the heat was bad but def hotter than my 103. It still had the SE tuner on it, and from everything I've heard they are garbage, and not really tuned, just the "closest match" they can find.

Put on a power commander V and had it dyno tuned at sturgis this year. The power and torque increase was noticed instantly, and I'd have to say that it runs quite a bit cooler now too. Getting that CAT out of the equation, and getting a tune should help anyone with a 110 quite a bit, IMO.

Also from mainly reading posts on here, OldEnuf2NoBtr seems like a really happy guy, never grumpy, never bitchy.
