Default 2016 CVO Pro Street Screeching Noise

I traded my softail for a new pro street breakout - just could not live without the bike when I saw it. It has 50 miles on it and when I accelerate or decelerate I hear a screeching noise - it is definitely throttle related. The dealer said "it is not uncommon to hear funny noises when breaking in a bike - ride it for a while and come back if it gets worse." This is my fourth new bike (three being Harleys) and this is the first time I have heard any funny noises - break-in or otherwise. Any input or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks

I am at near 300 on mine and no noises out of the ordinary... Does it screech in neutral when you roll on the throttle?

My new bike would screech on acceleration... But that was usually the rear tire!!

Where does it sound like the screeching is coming from.. Left side right side or exhaust??

It sounds like right side, mid-bike. Thanks.

Interesting. No unusual noise on my CVO Pro Street. Can you record an audio/video?

I had a good ride yesterday and it seems to be making less noise. When it does, it is in stop and go traffic and not as much on the highway. I will work on getting a recording. Thanks for the reply.

Sully if your still hearing it i would take to the service manager and let him hear it.

There are several things they are suppose to do before delivery and i am on the skeptical side of what they really do before delivery. They could at least give it a once over and you could get a worksheet to document your concern.

Thanks. That is what I did. They took it in for a couple hours, came back and said they checked all the fluids, rode the bike, could not determine what was making the noise, that "some bikes makes noises during break-in" and that I "should ride it for a while and see if it goes away." I said this was my 4th new bike and none of the others made any noise - break-in or otherwise. They stressed my bringing the bike back for the 1000 mile service about 3 times (I assumed the stressing was because I would be paying for the service). There is another dealer 20 miles north of me so I am going to take it to them to see if I can get better results. I took my softail and sportster there and was always satisfied but bought the bike from this dealer because it was the only one that had the CVO pro street. Thanks again for the input.

Sully103, yes, take it to the other dealer (2nd opinion) would be great and mentally comforting for you. I did a 212 mile yesterday and "yes" I do hear something from the engine in city driving. It is currently raining up here in VA and later this week I will take my Pro Street out with a half helmet and try to describe it also. I have 800 miles on mine.
