Default Se 585 ???

Is anyone running this cam in a stock CVO 110 or a new SE 117 big bore kit? I'm considering adding it before pick to save on labor with exhaust already off😁

I answered your other post the same way, don't waste your money on either. The 255s do a decent job. I just bought my CVO also. By the time our warranty run out, there will be a better kit out there for the wet heads think about it. Everything is new and being tested, those who wait get served the best! Who knows maybe you'll be trading up by then lol

Thanks for the input. I'm gonna take your advice and wait and see. I'm on a 2013 ultra with a 255 cam and full stage 1 and really like the power but want more😁 I'm already doing a full exhaust and Dino tune in the deal.

Don't waste money on 117 kit either. Harley told me they dyno tuned 1 at 112/118. Mine with decat header and cfr slip on dyno ed 93/113. $6,000- $8000 doesn't justify that outrageous price. They said $6k fir me because i already have exhaust and tuner. Can supercharge for that and make 150whp and be safe and low compression.

Harley website shows similar specs. Compression is only 9.9. Not a good kit when fuel moto kit for same price installed and dyno tuned makes over 150.

Best thing you can do with a 110 is get it dyno tuned with better exhaust. When you can afford it holler at fuel moto, dragon, or install a supercharger/turbo. Don't pay harley for their weak kit. As stated it made 112/118.

My dyno guy also said installing a set of 585 cans won't do much in the stock 110 not enough compression. Most guys are only seeing a 5 hp/5trq bump with 585. For cost involved it's not worth it. 110 is really a gas guzzling disappointment. I miss my head and cam 2002 rg my buddy and I built it was faster making 93/103 out of a 97".

I beg to differ!!!

ON AVERAGE, with a non restricted header, pipe these 117" Bolt On kits have been getting 115-120 HP and 125-130 TQ

Those HD Dyno charts are way off.

Like I said Adam Smith Waco recorded 112/118. On the one they did. And considering they got 93/113 out of my cvo with decat header and cfr's shows they know what their doing.

And the drago kit for the 110 is cheaper and makes way more power than the harley kit. Way better stuff out there than harley stuff.

What my indy dyno guy said about cvo. He's well known around the country.

*

* The best performance parts for your CVO are as follows:

*

Drago Bike Works Dragula 2, 2:1 exhaust, best 2:1 pipe out there

Kuryakyn Mach 2 air cleaner , or Performance machine with this same filter. Circumference and face filtration.

Kuryakyn 24D is the best bolt in cam and will give you the best perfromance.

*

* One thing you need to understand is even though this bike had the water cooled exhaust valve it is still only 9.2:1 compression. Unless you get into the motor and add some compression it is going to be limited.

*

* Tuning it without the 24D cam but the other upgrades I mention will get you 90-95hp and 112-117TQ

With the 24D cam you will be close to 100hp and about the same TQ 115-120. The cam makes a difference but the compression is still the limiting factor.
