CVO 110 to 117 stage kit

I think the Stage III 117 kit may be worth the money, more torque in the RPM you spend most the time in, down low.
To me the Stage IV 117 kit is not worth the money, it does make more HP but the torque and HP are farther up the RPM scale.
If I do anything it will be a catless head pipe and a good tune. If I do more it would be the M8-222 woods cam.

I doubt the hd 117 kit for the 110 is stronger than the 117 kit for the 114, if both kits are done 100% HD, including the head pipe.
That said, aftermarket 117 for the 110 right now will make more power than anything available for the 114 right now. Give it another year and that will change as the after market ramps up pistons, cams and head pipes for the 114.
My 13 CVO King with a 117 is making 138 HP and 140 torque, pretty sure there ant any 17 CVO making those numbers.

Dave, I totally agree. I've been watching what Steve Cole, Fuel Moto and George Bryce have been doing with testing and experimentation on the M8s. I'll hold off until my warranty has expired, then pull the trigger and do one of their Stage kits vice the HD ones.
As for Arstbest, you should look at some of the aftermarket Stage Kits that Dave eluded to above. You will have a lot of options, again, Fuel Moto, TTS and others have wicked Stage Kits that will blow Harley Kits out of the water.

I generally don't bother with them but since this is a new engine design, I figured I would go with the three year extended warranty just in case. I don't think the same voiding of warranties occurs for bikes in Canada but I'm still trying to nail it down. If it doesn't apply, then I'm looking at Fuel Moto or TTS tuner and a catless head pipe very soon.

From everything that I've read, everyone that has them is impressed with their performance and sound. Most people want proven performance enhancements and don't worry about the sound too much. Some of the better sounding mufflers and pipes actually lose performance at the lower end of the torque range. My days of obnoxious sounding pipes are behind me now. I want more airflow and overall performance without pissing off my neighbours and going further deaf in the process. Just my two cents worth.

From previous reading here on the forum, if one gets their numbers into the 130/130 range, they also need to address crank issues, clutch issues and compensator issues. These things all reflect on the reliability of the bike. Kind of pricey for the average Joe to build a proper 117 power plant.

Its pretty much all in my signature. Upgraded bearings also, which is not listed. The AIM VP-SDR clutch upgrade for the Harley Slip and Assist clutch is also not listed.
