Default CVO Street Glide & 500 Mile Days...duplicate post

My question is, can you do 500 days on a 2016/2015 CVO street Glide on the stock seat? ? ?
I am asking because I can pickup a stock CVO seat & pillion from someone that I know, cheep.
He wants to go aftermarket seat, to make his wife and him more comfortable on long trips.

So you are saying the stock CVO seat is not that comfortable? I have done a
few 500 mile days with my stock Street Glide seat.

I want to go with a solo seat on the Bike, that is why I asked.

I went the memory foam route with my SG before our Sturgis trip a couple of years
ago. Two weeks and 5k miles later I ordered up Mustang seat as soon as we got home.
A 250 mile jaunt over to Las Vegas and it's fine but after that, no. You'll need a real
touring seat to be comfortable and that's why he's selling it.

I just did the CannonBall 1000 mile ride in two days, 500 miles per day on my CVO SG with the stock CVO seat. I have the CVO Rider Backrest and Highway Pegs so you can adjust position throughout the day and had no issues with the seat and comfort. I wasn't stiff at all at the end of the two days and ended up doing just under 1200 miles in the two days in the saddle. Hope this helps.

I switched out my CVO seat with a Mustang solo with backrest. The Mustang is much more comfortable IMO, but I know one guy running a stock CVO seat and he puts down some decent miles. The CVO seat is nice, but it is thin and narrow compared to my Mustang.

I ran the Iron Butt 1000 with the CVO Ultra seat. Did 1055 miles in one day. I wouldn't want to be on any other seat for covering lots of miles.

Different seat than a CVO SG.

I realize it is different than the SG but if comfort for the long haul is a critical factor, the CVO Ultra Hammock seat is an excellent choice. I ride my 2010 CVO Ultra without the detachable TP, so in reality its a CVO Street Glide. There are a number of them available on eBay, including some with heating.

Does the CVO Street Glide come with the hammock seat. If so, yes you can. The stock hammock on my CVO Limited is good for that many miles or more. Couldn't be happier.
