I have been looking at the Vance & Hines Twin Slash 3in. Slip-Ons - Chrome . The reviews are very common 10% say its very loud but that's what they want, 70% could not stand the loudness so they installed the quiet baffles and most where reasonably happy and 20% said it helped but still to noisy. I read about 200 reviews. Any opinions out there.

The Twin Slash are 4", at least the ones I tried. Way too loud for me and made it hard to hear the radio. Of course I am over 50 with tinnitus so that puts me in a different bracket. Oh btw the quiet baffles are pretty much insignificant...tiny lil' things that don't do much of anything.

This message came directly from Vance & Hines if you're looking to put Vance & Hines Twin Slash 3" slip ons for a 2014 CVO Softail Deluxe you need part number 16835.

That was also confirmed by my HD dealer

loudness will also depend on whether you have stock head pipe, or true duals or 2-1-2, etc. After market headpipes make them even louder

I have the twin slash on my 2008 CVO Road King with V&H True Dual headpipes. they are loud. I recently installed the quiet baffles, which took some of the bit out of the bark on these. These are still loud when you get on it, but OK when cruising and at idle.
