Default -1" Kick Stands for Lowered Bikes.

Going to lower my 2018 CVO Limited 1" front and back. That means I need to change my kick stand or the bike will stand way too upright. Apparently HD does not make one.

Pingel makes a nice one but at $200 plus it is kind of spendy. I called up Arlen Ness to see if their's fits and they told me the following. "It fits, but the rubber bump stop misses and the metal of the stand touches the crank case." I am pretty sure that means no.

So are any of you running a shortened jiffy stand for lowered bikes? What type is it and how do you like it?

Inquiring minds want to know....

What about a factory kickstand off a Limited Low? Or maybe a Street Glide? You can look up factory parts #s off of The Outpost parts finder.

You may want to try it first. An inch at both ends isn't excessive, will probably be fine. The better half's RG is about the same depending on where she sets the rear air ride and the stock stand is fine.

the factory stand on the street glide is the same as the one he has. the ultra low is lowered 1'' front and back, so i would look into that. but i would look at them at the dealer and measure it to make sure. it has a different part number than the other jiffy stands, but they may be just because it has the holes drill in the extension as opposed to be any different in length.

50000149 jiffy stand, black. found on 2018 cvo limited, street glide, and road glide
50075-07A jiffy stand, chrome. found on most everything else
50000083 jiffy stand, chrome. found on the low models.

I lowered my 14 RK by 1" in front and 2" in rear (12"shocks and 1" lower block and I never had a problem of staying too upright.

You can always shim yours with a couple of chrome washers between the stand and the frame. Takes very little to shange tha angle. I did that on my 12 SG. Worked perfect.

I lowered mine 1" front and back. Yes you can use the stock jiffy stand when it's on a flat level surface. However when it's not, it's a PITA

I bought an Arlen Ness -1" jiffy stand. Much easier parking anywhere. I did have to adjust the rubber stop, bend it some. Otherwise the shoe of the jiffy stand will hit the bottom of the primary cover.

I have a mid frame mounted short kick stand on my Bad Boy. I don't remember the brand (I installed it 20 years ago), but it works well. I had to drill and tap the frame, but I like it better than the forward stand on a low bike. Maybe something to look at?

Edit: The rear of the bike is currently 2 1/2" lower than it is in this pic (The front has a 2 1/2" lowering kit in the pic) and the stand works well.

Lowered my FLHX 1 inch front and rear.

Purchased an aftermarket stand from the Drag Specialties catalog from my local Indy...works perfect.
