The CVO 110 motor has lifter issues. They will fail some where between 20K and 50K miles on a large percentage of them. Of the four 110 bikes I have owned the 09 had lifter failure at 46K miles, and the 15 had lifter failure at 44K miles which required engine replacement, was very glad it was 2 days before the factory warranty expired.

My 13 has not had lifter issues, but I built the motor at a week old with 1500 miles on the bike. It has Woods Alpha lifters, and it has AV&V beehive valve springs instead of the factory double spring.

I owned my 2013 cvo rg for 5 years, completely stock except for slip-ons. Put 35k trouble free miles on it before I sold it.

my 13 has 43,000 miles on it. still the original lifters. do the 110's have lifter issues? sure they do. there is enough anecdotal evidence to support that. do i have esp? you betcha. hoping that if my lifters go, they give me some kind of warning so that i can have them changed out without an engine rebuild. but, if not, esp.
