Default Adding an Oil Temperature Gauge to a CVO

So I’m trying to add a temp gauge to a 2012 CVO Road Glide and when you run the harness up you’re supposed to use the air temperature sensor harness to connect to the gauge. I don’t have an air temp from the factory. When I look in the manual the wire harness doesn’t show one on there either. Has anyone installed one? I have enough wire I can just add terminals and plug into it but need to know what wire goes to what post or some other option? Thanks for any input.

ooops never mind for some reason I read 2021 not 2012 ...
you should have the air temp in the fairing on a 2012, bottom gauge on left side.

after some googling I see your problem now... looks like in the 2012 CVOs they sacrificed the gauges to put some silly 'tweeters' in the holes.
looks like you will need to get rid of those (or at least one, no idea what problems that may cause with the stereo) and add the missing wire for powering the gauge, lamp, etc.
bummer.

I’ve had excessive heat issues and now I just want it for monitoring purposes. I’m replacing the voltage gauge because my tuner has one. So o can use the bulb power I just need to figure out how to wire it. I can cut the end off the harness the kit comes with and go from there. My real problem is what wire goes to what terminal.
