Default CVO Handlebar Swap

Did a search, but could not find anything
Anyone attempted to change the handlebars on a CVO Road Glide Ultra?
Was thinking about swapping to the ones that bring the bars back a couple of inches (56166-08), but in the book it says "will not work with heated grips, that are wired internally, and hydraulic clutch kit".
Well, the CVO already has both of those, and it has 1 inch diameter handlebars, so........
Anyone tried it, think it will work?
Thanks

Thought those were the bars you already had on the CVO models?

According to the dealer, they are the same bars that are on the Road Glide Ultra. They feel the same as when I sit on the RGU.
But then, dealers tell ya the strangest things.

So why would you change out the bars to what you already have? I guess I'm confused.

OK, let me explain it this way.
Both the RGU and the CVO RGU appear to have the same handlebars. The dealer says they are not the "reduced reach" handlebars.
I can ride it like it is, but would be more comfortable with a set of bars that come back about 1 to 2 inches, thus the "reduced reach" bars, but the parts and accessories book says they will not fit with the internally wired heated handgrips and hydraulic clutch.
My question is, has anyone swapped the bars and if so, what did they use, and did it work with the grips and clutch?

Not sure why Harley says you can't swap bars on that bike. Several members have done it successfully. Having said that, I can tell you that I'm sending mine off to the dealer next week and paying them to do it for me. I'm switching over to Wild 1 Road Glide bars. I've done handlebar swaps on two bikes that required internal wiring and it was a very tedious job. Now, throw in the extra wires for the GPS and the heated grips and I'm saying "uncle". Too many connectors to take apart. Too many small connectors that break easily. So, point being, it can be done, but make sure you are comfortable with what you are getting into

Thanks for the info. If you can, let me know how it turns out. I've done a couple, one Fat Boy and one Ultra. If the dealer will do it, I'll let them. If not, may have to use a indie.
