Thanks for replys
what a great spot - missed that as the pump did me in i had not seen one in 20 years - he might not get what you are getting at - you have a picture of the bikes first 2 numbers and the first 2 or 3 letters - the rest of the numbers of how many was built you can cover it up its not important

Looking at your other pictures I see nothing that is 1966. A 66 has no numbers on the frame. The title is on the motor in the form 66FLH2345 A 70 to 1980 is titled to the frame and it would be in the form 2A20447H2 for a 1972 FLH The first 2 numbers are the model and the last two are the year. In 1981 they went to 17 digit number on the frame. If you have a 1966 number on your motor or frame it is fake.

Got them on my '83.
He just rebuilt my 82 and used them again.... the bike started leaking like crazy within a few miles on rebuild.
He said Those worked great for years... but just lately he's had leaking issues with them... maybe a bad batch or different supplier or something.
I would keep a set of regular ORs just in case

My mechanic uses those white ones and say they are the best.

when its hot you could try and snug the center bolt a bit then let it cool so it squeezes it a little more

As far as I know they are "supposed" to match, but there are certain years whne you could get non matching motor and frame from the factory

harley sold the company in 1969 But AMF did not pay for the company till late 1971 or early 1972 - so harley knew to keep the numbers in align with one another BUT AMF had all new people running things and they had no idea, and the people working dident tell them as they ( the AMF ******** ) knew better right off the bat

Haven't seen anyone mention it, but make sure your engine vent hose is not plugged up. You said the problem began after the bike set up for a while. I don't know if you have dirt daubbers there, but they are everywhere here in Florida and they love to make plugs in hoses and other small holes. Just a thought.
