Apologies to the OP.. Not trying to Hi-jack....
Yeah it was old alright.... Acted just like my Evo when it became contaminated... Flushed it out with Dot 3 Tuesday night.... Gonna finally take it out this morning to see how everything worked out.... Pads on order..... EBC Kevlar organic.. Love em... Using them on my Evo as well....

Pic without the pad as requested. My bike is juice drum rear brakes, so I put the heel of my boot on it and press, firmly. Not like a modern bike where you just grab the edge of the pad with your toe. And since the front brake is a mechanical drum, you are stopping with the rear, not the front. Took her for a ride last night, way more room for my boot and I did not notice any negative impact with using the brakes. Sometimes less is more.

+1 on the GMA calipers.
I have an 03 Wide Glide with the Softail style caliper that is shown in the pictures and the GMA caliper on the rear of my 76 FLH blows that thing away hands down. I don't know if it is just my particular 03 caliper or not but my GMAs front and rear on my 76 FLH are some of the best mods I have ever done on any of my bikes.
They are also simple as dirt and cheaper than the PMs from what I can remember.

Brakes &
My front calliper has given up on me so I need to fix this so I can end this year's riding season. You've guest it, we have snow up here. With the photo bucket not allowing 3rd party I'm having a had time figuring this out.
I have a 75' FLH with both front and rear banana style callipers. my front end is surely going to get a FabKevin kit but my concern right now is the rear.
How do I fit a softail calliper ? what are the main mods I need to do to the actual fitting on the frame and what years am I aiming for?
Thanks
