yes you’re right very hard to tell but I was looking at the array of little pics he put in the pic of the heads the one where the bike is turned and we are looking at the back of bike sticks out pretty like the that was on my bike until I switched

Yeah that's a B, they hadn't made the E series yet when that picture was taken.

BTW If that's a B, and my eyes ain't good enough to be sure... they are plentiful, and work just fine once dialed in...
hint... put a K&N filter in that housing!!!!

Ok guys I’m going to be pulling the clutch hub buuut can’t find my puller if I remember correctly what my dad did he used an old steel clutch plate and some nuts to compress and keep the pack together and a rubber mallet to tap it off after the nut was removed? Sound about right or am I way off

E's didn't get popular or affordable for the average broke tramp till late 80's, pic pretty much set the date a lot earlier.

I have never bought one... G's and D's... yup!!
Back when my '82 was new I ran an Andrews Flowmaster/Screamin Eagle Butterfly carb... After alot of Learning curve...
There are a Couple E's hangin around here for quite some time... I'll run one soon... Maybe once I talk myself into removing a CV from something... Nah!!! I doubt it..

Got a crate with a 1/2 dozen old B's around somewhere, a few with the pump bowl mod, loved that carb.

I don't really love it... damn thing bangs my Knee... but it is certainly functional... long as I do Not have to deal with pumper bowls and adjustable main jets and crap like that... I'm happy with a "B"... nothing but a glorified Linkert!!!!
