Seems the lifter blocks is an "off size" like that... But... CRS
Hell... I still don't know what fastener we are talking about!!! Never had an FLH that the Shift lever wasn't what held the Shifter shaft in place... ???

All the old machines used the 1/4 x24 thread till 1973 when they went to the 1/4x20 for lifter blocks and the cam cover as well as the trans top screws

v twin sells the tap and a die if you need that as well as the bolts in cad chrome or park finish look at his book but know he won't take back your mistake in ordering

Thanks for all of your responses and verifying the thread size is 1/4-24. Read somewhere that it was a common size pre-war. Googled taps in that size. Gotta take out a 2nd mortgage.

v twin is not that pricy but the heli coils are in 1/4 24 is almost 300 bucks
