Default Default 73 electra glide cant find throttle cable replacement

Hello all,

I am Nic from langley BC. I inherited a 1973 FLH Electra Glide
from a very an old work mentor who has leukemia and is scared
his daughter will sell it.

I've worked on cars for a long time but new to bikes,
he dropped it 10 years ago and broke a few things

Ive got almost everything replaced but the local harley dealership
and bike shops can't source a throttle cable.

It is all stock, with internal cable and spiral roll type throttle
I need the physical cable and the pieces in yellow.
Any part numbers, online stores, ebay auctions would be a huge help!

Thanks

Go to your local independent. They will be able to order from V-Twin or Drag Specialties.

www.vtwinmfg.com

V Twin is a company that carries what you need, website above. Find a local distributor/dealer in your area that can order from them.

You can also order a free catalog from V Twin. Comes in handy in identifying parts and usually has OEM part numbers even if you don't order from them.

before WW2 they just soldered a loop on the end screw and the cable attach sleeve and put a spring between them from a hardware store

always seems amusing to me why people have a need to spend real money on something you can do at home for peanuts < and your taking it all apart anyway
