Default Secondary Chain Gearing

I hope y'all are doing well.
I have a 79 FLH-80 that I need to replace the trans. drive gear. OEM says 22 teeth and what is on there now is 24 teeth.
I'm also replacing the rear hub sprocket and chain. It has 51 teeth. What gearing would get me better for highways speeds with lower RPMs?
What about the compensator sprocket and the clutch drum sprocket for the primary drive? Any profit of changing those?
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks for your help,
gcwil57

23 trans, 48 rear drops the rpms about 300 or so, makes 65 very comfortable, added extra is it drops the chain a hair so it doesn't slap the starter boss as much. Ran this combo for years on mine.

22-46 for me (keeps the chain off the inner primary and it had a new 22).

pretty much the same as 23-49 and 24-51.

its taken the buzz out at 60 nicely

I like the idea of a 22/47, it puts the ratio at a 3.29:1 at 1:1. And first gear at 2.44 is an 8.03:1 little easier starting off and still maintain clearance for the starter housing... I'm currently running a 3.28:1 in 5th on my Evo and love but it is an OD6 So I still have good cruising gear but I believe at 1:1 I'm still only turning 2850 RPM.. I think I might have to try that 22/47 on my shovel currently it's a 23/51...

Try the 23/47 combo, shovels got enough low end grunt you won't notice and that one tooth helps @ 60-65 noticeably. Found it to the sweet spot gearing wise on my old beast before I went belt/belt and really tweaked the ratios all over the place.
