Default 1968 FLH front brake issues

Hoping someone can help. I have a 68 FLH and I heard grinding noise in the front brake drum. Took of the wheel and you can see where I think the brake shoe post is rubbing on the case as seen in my pic. I'm wondering if Im missing a spacer on the axle or something.. any help would be great, Thanks

Ouch! I can't help you there, but the factory parts manual is an invaluable tool for knowing how to properly assemble anything on the bike. I highly recommend you get one and the factory service manual if you don't already have it.

Very common issue - it does not have all the parts in the picture so what did it could be the top post - does it hav the correct washer

the springs in the incorrect inside holding spot the out side leans the shoes to the drum

but all the parts pictures and any clean rub spots help as well

It might not be missing parts to you, but definitely your picture is Not showing all the parts that would be inside the drum
