Shovelhead Head Reinstallation

RE: Shovelhead Head Reinstallation
I had a set of solids years ago that had a very light spring between the solid conversion and the stock lifter or cam follower they fit inside the cavity and applied slight pressure to the solid conversion.
I really like the looks and ease of adjusting my sifton solids only 2 wrenches to adjust them, others I had took 3 wrenches what a pain they were!
don't forget to have a cloths pin or 2 handy to hold the push rod tubes up out of the way while making adjustments.

I know this is an old thread.
Just wanted to say thanx for the info in this thread. It confirmed my first shovelhead lifter adjustment. I thought it was typical to an Evo. My concern was weather it was a hydraulic or solid. It was a hydraulic and I set the pre- load to 28 flats.... Or .145". Thanx again.....
