I have a 78 shovelhead super guide. The guy before me took the kicker off. I’ve pick up a new kick-starter kit plus the rod and bearings. So my question is just how hard it is going to be to install the new kicker. Plus can anyone give me a step by step set of instructs. Cleve
putting the kicker on is basicaly unbolt the old trans cover, and bolt the new one on as an assembaly, that transmissin was designed for a kickstarter, when they came with out one, the cover is basacly just a cap to cover the starter gear
Dude grab a manual , not one of the Clymers but a real Harley service book . It will cover everything your going to need to know about your bike , the kicker is covered very well and you'll need it a lot more than what you think if for nothing else just plain get to know your bike .
