'69 flh
Just picked up a '69 FLH. It's about 98% original. Needs a lot of tlc, but runs good. Has 25k original miles. I got some extras with it, like original optional tour pack, ugly as sin, but still original and optional fairing. I'm looking for some good books that can provide good detailed pictures of the '69. Also looking for info on parts, #'s, optional equipment, paint colors, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

One of the few book on shovels is "Harley Davidson Shovelhead" by Tom Murphy. Not exactly completely accurate buy it will get you in the ball park close. (Damn just looked on ebay for it and prices have tripled from what I got for mine new way back when.)
About the only way of determining with certainty what accessories are considered correct is to find a dealers accessory catalog (see them come up on the flea-bay from time to time).
I have one for my 49 and my 65, still looking for one for the 84.
John Pierce of Colorwrite carries paint and pics of original HD colors. I picked up the Burgundy for my 49 from him, as well as the black for the frame. Not cheap but definitely is respected in the old iron circles, and his paint passes AMCA muster.
