How about posting some pics?

Original paint, one owner w/ all documentation is definitely a plus. 70K on an almost 40 year old bike is also a plus (as long as the odometer has not turned over once and from what you are describing, it sounds it has not).

8500 is at the top end of the scale IMO but if it is as original and complete as you say, I think it is a fair price. Important thing is are you satisfied with your purchase?

Nothing like old iron going down the road!

Default Looks good

I don't think you over paid for that bike. Looks great all stock.
Enjoy your bike. If we ever get out of this recession. I think
older bikes like yours will appreciate. At least I hope they will.

Well it looks as it has been preserved well and seems to be pretty stock (except stripe around tank badge) Even the tires seem to be the older Goodyear design !
I have not seen any that clean in a while,so you don't have to ask if it was worth it.
AnyBody who has been around them for decades will tell you YES!

I had to check on the stripe and you are right ! Some did & some did'nt. I think it may be part of one of the few options packages from 72 which could only make it more valuable! But no matter it is one of the cleanest I have seen in years and years!
