A flat = great excuse for a cooler tire on my Slim
Big ugly screw lodged in my rear tire last night. Thank goodness it was just a bad leak and not a blow out. Had V Day dinner with my gal and waited for the tow truck.
I took advantage of the flat today and put a fatter 150 on the rear. Looks and rides great. No mods needed to the fender, so the Slim is still slim.
I know a lot of guys say a skinnier rear tire is better on corners. But I don't think so. The bike felt really stable on turns when I tested it out, more stable than it did with the stock tire.

Come everyone knows the formula is mass x mph divided by weight than take the square root of the number divided by pi. Geez that was easy.
haha. Having my morning coffee right now, but I'm a pic Ho. I'll send some after I get down to the garage in a bit.
D401 150/80B16 Blackwall is what I got. Same tread pattern as stock tire in the front.
You can also get the GT502 150 Blackwall for the Slim, but that's a Screamin Eagle tire that cost like 40 bucks more and I didn't like the logo or tread pattern to be honest. Plus, I would have had to wait a few days for it.
Same exact size tires, neither requiring mods on the Slim for your rear fender.

That's the shiznit right there! Hard to believe those few extra millimeters make that dramatic of a difference. You got me thinking now.
