The wolfman stuff is top notch, I have a set of the Rocky Mountain and Rolie packs as well as a tank bag. Wouldn't hesitate to strap them on my Harley if it didn't have bags and Tour Pack already in fact I think I'll take a look at the Rolies and see if I can't find a place for them.

I'll be impressed with a cross-country trip Russell Peagler style. SC to CA and back in 45 days on a Sporty.

Russell Peagler's cross-country adventure

Just a sarcastic jab. Good luck and ride safe.

There are three things that you need:
1. Scotch.
2. Cigars.
3. Clean underware*

Although I don't have that bike now, I have that exact setup on my current bike. The Saddlemen sissy bar bag work excellently.

Will there be some issue with cross winds? It really depends. But, yes, it will be slightly more effected. It's a small price to pay for the overall utility. I have over 10k miles on that rig. It comes with the main bag and a top roll. It has a lot of storage.

You'll notice that I also have saddlebags. The thing is, I use as much space as possible. I'm the type that will pack everything. Just in case. Particularly tools. I seem to make use of everything I bring.

I have an HD tour pak bag I use, and a 40L dry bag to attach on backside of bar if I need more storage.
I agree with the poster above Since 2003 I have used Sissy Bar bags on my WG. My first was from TBags in 2003 and I replaced it a few years ago with another Tbags model.
I currently have the Super T
http://tbags.com/sissy-bar/super-t-t...g-url-key.html

I went with the Super T this time as it has a zipper that makes it an expanding bag. With it zipped I can pack enough for a few days and keep it a smaller profile. Longer trips I unzip and it doubles the volume it will hold. My wife and I have done many week long trips and the bag held all we needed. The loop on the back that goes over your sissy bar is adjustable to accommodate different widths of sissy bars. Not sure of the height on my sissy bar but its not tall, I will post a pic below of the bike so you can see the sissy bar.

What I like about it VS saddle bags is when you get to your distention you just unstrap it and walk in with a piece of luggage. They also make models with rollers like a suitcase. If I am on a solo ride I have the bag sitting on the seat giving me a great backrest. For 2-up I flip it around so that it sits on luggage rack on fender. Never noticed any issues in heavy winds, just make sure it is attached tight with the included straps and it does not move.
Most of their bags come with a small roll bag that can be attached giving you more room. However that roll bag stays on my bike all the time giving me a nice place to store gloves, wallet, tool roll, etc... or serves as a trunk to put items in if you stop at a store etc... A 6 pack fits in perfectly

There are now several companies that make similar bags. T bags has been around since like 1990 and is a good company. I am sure there are other bags of good quality as well. I have only used T bags and have many, many trips over the past 13 years using them. Their quality and construction is very damn good. When I was shopping for a new bag I looked at several others that looked good as well but went back with another TBag just because I knew from experience their quality

Here are a couple of pics, the first shows the bike with no bag so you can get an idea of my sissy bar and luggage rack. The second pic shows it with just the roll bag that pretty much stays on all the time. If you notice on it you see the loop that goes around the sissy bar. The loos is pretty much the same on the large bag and as you can see even with a slightly shorter sissy bar it would be still fine

I am going to pick up a set of the Rocky Mountains for a future TAT ride. They look Awesome. However, I am sure most on here would object to the look on a Wide Glide

I just bungee it to the shocks (2), and to the taillights (2).
I often over pack and never use everything I bring most times.
I would post a pic of it on the bike, but can no longer do it on this site.

Why not both sissy bar bag and saddlebags?

This duffle type bag keeps center of gravity low, and has 4 easy access pockets. The saddlebags are aftermarket (bought at discount) the duffle can be tied so that saddlebags are still accessible. I was able to carry everything I wanted to take. Total weight was less than a second rider.

Yea they don't really pop with a lot of chrome. I'm leaving for about a 2k trip home for a couple weeks and I'll be filling a Tour Pack and hard bags as well as a big dry bag but 2 weeks is a long time.
