Slow speed is about friction zone and back brake. Often at the same time.

Check out EZ Brake or Softbrake for your brake pedal issues. Puts the pedal lower and forward. Where it belongs so you can use it.

I am pretty sure that everyone that has ridden a motorcycle has used the front brake while the front wheel was turned and either dropped or almost dropped their ride. I have tweaked my knee a number of times trying to keep the bike from going down.

Honestly, I recommend that EVERYONE take an advanced riding course. I had been riding for years and finally took an advanced riding course. I noticed an immediate improvement in my riding after I took that class. The instructor put it best. "Just because you self taught yourself, there are a lot of things that you may have learned that are improper and its difficult to "unteach" those bad habits"

My new Harley is the biggest and heaviest Bike I ever had or ridden.

The other day I was turning while in my driveway to turn the Bike around to back it into the Garage and used the front brake to slow, it almost fell, hadn't I slammed my foot to ground quickly it would have. In my peripheral vision I even saw my wife extending her leg to help.

In all the years riding I didn't know what is being discussed here, thanks guys for this tip, I will practice this from here on.

I also need to get the Ride Like a Pro DVD and take the advanced riding course to help me with this monster of a machine!

Yep done it, and it never happens when you're in an isolated area by yourself. Always has to be at a rally in front of everyone! haha. At least you get help to pick her back up.Bag guards paid for themselves the first time this happened!

Took me a couple of nice scuffs to realize that if you're going slow enough so you have to actually turn the front wheel, stay OFF the front brake. Going straight at slow speeds, no problem.

There are only 2 kinds of riders...
Those that dropped their scoot and learned from the experience and

Those that haven't dropped it...YET

Hope everything and everyone is OK.
