Why cover plate when posting online?
Having served in the military for 21 years, running around with my name on my chest all over the world and the whole thing with the VA and the IRS mess, I'm pretty sure if someone wants my info they can and will get it. Taking a picture of my plate is the least of my worries. I wont post a photo of mine knowingly but if it's out there it is out there. Iowa DOT got a nice picture of my Jeep's plate and sent it to me with a $ 250.00 ticket. That shita is out there now.
But to each their own. Ya wanna cover it cover it. I don't care.

the guys that don't want to cover their plate have made such an impassioned argument against it that I have changed my mind and will no longer blur or cover my plate whenever I take a picture of my bike.
wtf am I kidding? you're absolutely right, and I will continue to cover my plate in photos.....

You'll find out more about me in 5 minutes than posting a picture of my license plate will. Knock yourself out. Good luck.

So you cover your plate when you go out on your bike? Bike night, etc? Certainly its simple to take pics of bikes, post them on social media, etc. All over the net.
How are they going to track your plates, exactly? (and who is they?)
People worry about all the wrong things.
I'm waiting.....
