I joined to read advice on anything and everything riding/motorcycles related. Looking to get a tank bag for a long road trip to use on my 2004 Dyna, all suggestions welcome!
I made one for a long outback trip I did, and it worked really well (Looked OK too, in a plain utilitarian DIY kind of way, and was maybe 12 bucks in parts).
Sorry you can't see it so well, but there's not much to it. It was basically a cordura toiletries bag (or something like that) which opens on one of the large sides, and has a couple of dividers inside, and stiffened shorter sides, from a $2 store. I bought five 1.5" rare-earth magnets on eBay and glued them inside the bottom of the bag. The rare-earth magnets hold really strong on the tank even at-speed.
