weather reports
Looking at the dates you're coming down, be prepared for strong headwinds. I've seen 20-30mph and I don't have to tell you, it's not fun. And gas guzzling too. Good Luck.
The app Weather on Wheels worked pretty well for me last year, http://www.weatheronwheelshome.com/ , not really having much luck loading anything up currently though

thanks
The weather sites are borderline FAKE NEWS. AccuWeather has daily forecasts out 45 days. eg 23 days from now "light snow in the afternoon." Wow, that's some amazing forecasting! Weather.com ridiculed them for the 45 day thing. AW says it's just an average of what past weather was like on said days.
The "low" temp listed for the day isn't really the low. The low they predict is for around 8 or 9am. So if you want to know what it'll be at 6am, don't pay attention to that number.
Then there's the radar. Plenty of times it'll be raining, and there isn't a green cloud on the radar for 100 miles.
In short, go outside and check the weather if you want accuracy, otherwise your guess is probably as good as theirs.

Midwest is prone to sleet and sudden ice storms in March and it's a crap shoot what it will be 20 miles away hourly. Consider dropping south quick and then hanging a right somewhere.
i use an app called motorcycle weather, its fairly accurate and up-to-date
gives you a bike or cage depending on your preferences for your weather tolerance
also gives you weather and temp by the hour for the cities or zips you are riding through.
i like it, it was free to download

Accuweater offers a "monthly" outlook for each location along the route... but as noted, depending on location... forecasts are not easy, and often will lead a rider astray
Probably the best guess, is look at the RADAR maps, at the time you are getting ready (makes booking a motel room difficult)
best radar site (for ME) is
http://www.intellicast.com/Local/WxM...14&layers=0039
you can zoom in and out, as well as pan. but your guess, will be just that... a guess
