You don't need rallies...meet ups...or anything else like that...just put that puppy on the road and ride, Sally, ride!
i do brother I do. I ride just about every day in the summer. Sometimes 10 miles sometimes a few hundred. Was more interested in the social and meet up aspect of it all.
Already found out about a swap meet in my area that I will be attending thanks to this thread.

For the social aspect of it, check out HOG (Harley Owners Group). Our local chapter is full of great folks that like to get together, have fun, and RIDE.

If I remember correctly, the 02 was the last year of the forged bottom end, which is good to have.
yes 02 was the last of the better bottom ends, but not forged - they had the old fashioned pair of Timken bearings on the left side. Newer went to straight rollers.
Welcome from the west coast of Michigan, land of tulips and windmills. Good looking 02 there. Nice laundry list of things to do there. Winters can be a little long in the tooth sometimes. One suggestion is this, when replacing the cam chain tension shoes why not upgrade to a 95" kit with cams for the low end torque on acceleration. I put a 95" kit with 203 cams on my Superglide when we used it as our two up rider. Worked real well. Again, welcome.
NW Ohio here ,this is a good forum, lots of info. I do lots more reading than posting and have learned and laughed a lot. Swap meet in Mansfield sounds like a good reason for a ride!!
