Anyone see this leak on the 2018's?
Thats all fine But Its not a Fatboy
and the old Fatboy to me is a work of Art
That big Head light out front and long rear fender
thats what I liked about mine when I had it
Yep Harley messed it up and changed that and it will show in sales
They have the Breakout already
The Frame and Engine dont bother me much on the softails
In Fact the M8 will probably be right at home on a softail , Balanced and all
So thats what bothers me
that light

Somehow I just don't see these being successful. Older folks are all about touring bikes, and even then not everyone is thrilled with the '17s. Young guys are all over Dynas' right now, but it's older less expensive bikes on the used market they seek. Add on the fact that adding pipes and a tuner get you a mandatory warranty black-list for '17 and above, and I just don't see anyone running to get in line for bland standard cruisers that are named like older bikes that had unique characteristics.
I saw that, but until more details come out there's no guarantee they are any better than the old ones. The real question will be that rear shock. Does the design allow changing the rear ride height anymore? We'll have to wait and see.
I'm hoping those pictures aren't real models. I really don't like the look at all. They look like "student design studies". Like someone went to one of the design schools and asked the students to make a modern rendition of classic Harleys.
I get Harley needs to attract a younger rider, but its going to take more than just a "modernized" classic.
The vast majority of the younger kids I work with who are interested in motorcycles are definitely not interested in Harleys. A Harley is their Dad's bike. But by the same token they aren't interested in the racer-repicas either. They are more about functionality and versatility. They tend to see motorcycles as a "tool" just like car.. but thats all another story...
