sat on a new fat boy today aswell pretty sweet, but dealer has a fat bob 114 as a demo uhhh.
hope they cut the luxus tax from 150% to 100 ,before the end off the year. that will make it very hard for me to stay away from a new softtail aswell, but the street bob is already pretty cheap now and looks super

I am trying to stay calm and just keep the Slim... I am really trying... but I know myself well enough to know that there is so long that I can stay calm and not act on this impulse... it helps that I will be away this long weekend with the family... at least this weekend and next are safe
On other news... rear tire is here. Plan to install it tonight.
Well... went out with friends last night... no way I was going to be able to work on the bike last night after that...
Not much done. I put it on the lift/jack and only got to remove the muffler...
.
You do realize that no matter what else you get, it won't be as pretty as this. Just got back from a long ride on my bike today, and loved every minute of it. I sure get a lot of looks with this bike.

Interesting that you made that comment. I was looking at the photo thinking the same... Bike will be paid off in 10 months. It has everything I want... and I love how it looks... feels like I would be making the same mistake I made when I changed my RGC CVO...
Just got back from a nice ride through the NH white mountain regions and left it in the driveway while ai wait for the wife to get home so we can ride a bit together. Dinner maybe. But stood on the porch admiring my real softail slim sayin to mah self... I effin love this bike!

I get it guys!! I get it.
I am away from home this weekend with the family. Looking at the photos and reliving the reasons I got the Slim S... when I get home I will finish the rear tire replacement, replace front ABS sensor with the one from the VRod, and finally powder coat black the hardware from the windscreen... I am not getting rid of this bike. One mistake with the CVO was enough...
For those in the US and Canada, continue to enjoy the long weekend!!

Also reading about an issue with the M8 Engine/Transmission...
Wheel removed, tire removed and replaced... now to take it inside in the nice A/C... and insert the dyna beads before installing it all back. I had forgotten the fun that it was to remove the tire from the rim...
Will see how it rides with a tire meant for a narrower wheel...
