Took the bike out after the curfew was lifted. Tested in several roads, potholes, hard braking, cornering, etc. and no rubbing. Everything feels great! This task is done!!!

Slip-ons are delayed due to the storm.... I also need to reload the Fuelmoto map...it got overwritten after the last recall.

The only thing I need to order is the engine heat deflectors... been meaning to get some. Had the kuryakyn in my wife's Deluxe...need to see what new ones are out there before deciding.

When you say engine heat deflectors, do you mean something
like the 'Crotch Cooler' style like shown below (for an Indian) ?

If not, can you explain what you're looking for ?

thanks,

T.

That is what I meant to say...

Wife's bike had these:

What I have found so far:

Harley Mid-Frame Air Deflector-Mid-Frame Air Deflector Part Number 29200008A

Kuryakyn Saddle Shield Heat Deflectors

Captain Itch Crotch Coolers

.

Decided to go with the Captain Itch Crotch Cooler... not the most stylish but certainly the most effecting at keeping the heat from my.... errr... legs.

I am thinking just plain and in black... just so that it disappears with the rest of the black parts of the bike

I like what he did, but not looking at installing any coins on it... but sure looks nice...

Those are timing covers from www.motordog69.com . Nice touch.

EDIT: Crotch Cooler ordered! And just got a note that the Rush slip-ons should be home when I get back from work today... woohoo!

Got a call that the parts I sent to get powder coated are done!

Place opens at 6am so I will get them tomorrow morning before I get to work... I can then put the windshield back together (not going to install it for now, love how the bike looks naked) and install the metal toolbox back (this one I do miss how the bike looks with it.

The windshield is function over form. Long or cold rides are no fun without it.

Yeah... but I am enjoying the look without it... until it gets cold or I go on a long trip.

Keep in mind that I use a full face...

Well a full face on a bike like ours is much goofier looking than any windshield! I love my peanut helmet.
