One thing you said was you are keeping the tire pressure at 36 and 42 like the Manuel said. What does it say on the sidewall of the tire? I would check that and see if there is a difference.
Really?? The sidewall is maximum pressure. The HD engineers compute the optimum pressure for weight, weight distribution, rake, etc.
13,000 and you can still see the centre mould line ...what are they made of??
I can tell you when I went from stock Dunlops to the CIIs, it was like getting on a completely different motorcycle. I can one-hand 50 mph curves at 70.
Feel and handling is great. Best tire I've ever owned.
As far as traction, wet or dry, I spent three days in this storm system in late May. Zero issues.
I see that this old thread keeps popping up from time to time so I'll add my 2 cents. A lot of people preach about tire pressure but for some reason they don't know how to read the wear pattern of the tire and know how to adjust the air accordingly. If they paid as much attention to the wear pattern as they do to the tire pressure, they might be able to get more out of a set of tires like some of us do.
