Well I now have 4931 miles on my Commander 2's which are mounted on my 2011 Fatboy and the front and rear tire are at just a hair over 2/32" tread depth measured with a gauge (at 2/32") they're worn out. So much for Michelins claim that they'll last twice as long. My original Dunlop front tire was changed at 6,500 and the rear at 4,500 and both had a small amount of life left in them. The original to the bike rear Dunlop was changed at 2000 due to a bad flat. I'm meticulous checking pressure and keep them at 36 front and 42 rear as the manual says. Don't do burnouts, will cruise about 75mph, and of course have the occasional fast takeoff. I weigh 215 my wife about 115 and we do ride a fair amount double up. Called Michelin and they had no answers, check pressure (I do), something must be wrong with the bike (there isn't). Tires handle well and there is no cupping, vibration, or unusual wear. Twice the mileage? No way!!

One thing you said was you are keeping the tire pressure at 36 and 42 like the Manuel said. What does it say on the sidewall of the tire? I would check that and see if there is a difference.
When I bought the tires I called Michelin and asked what pressure I should run. They told me they don't make recommendations on pressure and use what the factory calls for.

That is true with all tires. Vehicle weight determines the pressure.
Never use the Max press rating on sidewall.
And Ur tire is what they based there 2x mileage on.. the 200's..
Bought mine last month and I am having them mounted Wed of this week...
As I think even if they only last a little like, (12k or so) in my 150-80-16 size, (10K average now on the 401's LOPS) the better handling of them and if they do better on tar snakes that alone would be worth it to me.

I ran 44 psi on my Com II and got 9800 miles on them when I only get 5k on the stockers. By far the best tire ive run to date!
I just hit 11,000 miles. I have been running the commanders since 4500, thats all the Dunlops lasted. So, I have 6500 miles on it. I run what the manual states for pressure. I am an aggressive rider. No burn outs, just heavy acceleration and cornering. I have not measured them but I estimate them to have 40% life remaining.
Just put a Comm 2 on the rear. Had Dunlop, & was gettin 6-7k on them average. Was told that the Comm 2's would be replacing the Dunlops for HDs oem tire. Thought I'd give it a try. Got about 200 miles on the rear now. Seems good to me. But its good to read others feed back.
