From the sole pic it is not a Heritage Springer or the FXSTB but probably the FXSTS so he is definfintely high on the price by several thousand. The former two are the only springer models that seem to get good pricing by sellers. Would be interesting to see if he could be made to understand that even by KKB and NADA his asking price is way off market value.
For me I don't see a lot of time and money to get it up and running. New rubber for sure (300), at the same time pull and repack wheel bearings, rebuild carb (20), flush and add new DOT 5 (12) for the brakes front and rear, drain and flush gas tank, top end kit from Cometic (100), replace motor oil (16), replace transmission oil (4), replace primary chaincase oil (8), pull clutch pak and clean plates to make sure they are not sticking. Depending on the environment the bike was kept in, see if oil line and gas line hoses are shot. But I would venture to say the owner hasn't kept it in a shed since new but probably kept in a stable covered, inside environment.
Get it for 7.5-8.5K range. So you figure for around another 500 in parts you essentially have a new ride. Doing the work yourself at a leisurely pace (few hours a day), in a week's time you are up and running.

K...need some help her DaddyKnuck. Owned an 88 heritgae once but it like my current Pans and Shovels have a separate tripometer. So wherez the button to move the dial from current mile to total miles?
It is on total miles...if it was on trip...there would be no zeros to the left of the 1
'96 is a long way back. Either the total miles counted tenths back then, or the trip meter had extra zeros. Either way, more reason to doubt this. I think he's collecting emails from those that request a video to see just what a $13K softail with 180 miles on it looks like. Has anyone requested the video?

The total miles did indeed count tenths. Even the old fashioned (before LED) rotating numbers counted tenths (the tenths #s were in white or red depending on your model)

I remember that very well, but they also had two separate meters. I had an Evo that I sold right after Desert Storm and I rode my old bikes until the end of the decade, so I guess I'm wrong about the photo. I still am waiting for someone to tell us they've seen the video or the bike and it's not a scam.
Orl... The seller has a fairly nice Springer, and recently bought a brand new speedometer and a pair of tires, and is trying to pawn it off as something its not?
