Default Koso HD-05 Tach/Speedo

Has anyone used this Koso HD-05 tach/speedo gauge on a late model Fat Boy or Sport Glide? I'm considering it, but I want know if the digital readout is visible in bright sunlight and that it can withstand radiant heat without going black. The digital display is what I'm concerned about as I've had some problems with the display on another brand.

I normally can’t read mine cause it’s fogged up lol. That one looks nice, if you get it and it works out let me know, might pick one up.

Here is a couple of vids from YT. Seems pretty decent. The first one shows it in the rider's shadow a few times so you can kind on tell how easy/hard it is to read. The second one goes over the features a little better.

There were other posts w/ this brand/model...between this & Dakota Digital - two great options.

Neither had I. Saw this same speedo on Dennis Kirk last night for like 70 bucks cheaper. Almost had one of those late night buying something I don't need moments.

Harley backordered my heated grips another 13 weeks, now I get them as a Thanksgiving gift, so i have been looking at theirs, they have a few other HD gadgets

I've had good luck with Avon heated grips. I prefer their switch setup to Harley's.

I've used Koso's EGT gauges in other applications and they have worked well. I too am looking at this gauge for my 2011 Fat Boy as I'd rather have a tach than a speed on the tank. I look forward to hearing what others have to say.

I too decided to contact Koso regarding our 2018 & up Softails, here's there reply to me:

"HI Glenn, The gauge can work with that bike, however, the fuel gauge cannot unfortunately. So if your bike has an additional fuel gauge on the tank, then it should be no problem! Brendan ClipstonTechnician"
