I would suspect the IAC just inside the throat of the throttle body. Spray with carb cleaner and gently dry with canned air or allow to dry completely on its own before starting the bike.

Good luck.

Well that would certainly explain it as that's the Rear Injector Open/Low.

Glad you got the procedure to work.

Rear fuel injector is open/low.

The system main relay provides 12v positive to the injectors, and the ECM provides the ground, when it wants them to fire. Based on the fact that your whole system was going nuts, I'd check your electrical caddy and under the seat for any loose connectors first off.

Try what's been posted if that doesn't do it I'd head to the Stealership or a decent indy and see what they suggest.

Injector wires are know for being installed in the factory with no service loop. So sometimes the wires are pulled when the rubber mounted engine is rocking. The wire insulation stretches but the wires don't and break, so you could have a bad wire but it won't be visible.

Do you hear your fuel pump prime when you turn on the run switch. Mine sputtered all the way home and it was because my fuel pump went out. Would start up and run for half a block then die. Then I would have to cycle the switch till I heard it prime and then it ran another half a block. Harley came and picked it up and the fuel pump was only putting out 30psi vs the 60psi it was suppose to. I'm pretty sure that was the number they told me, whatever it was were half.
