Default Brighter brake light

I am looking for a brighter than stock brake light for my 01 RK. I don't need signals or anything but just a brighter brake light. Can I just buy a bulb or do I need the whole light assembly?

You can likely go either way depending on what outcome you want. Well that and budget. As I said in the other thread, look into, or better yet, call Custom Dynamics.

I run a BAL light, but as said above it depends on your budget.

I could not be happier with the BAL1.

Bad *** Lights.

I have three buddies that have upgraded to it since seeing ours.

It is a great value under $200 and easy plug and play.

BAL here too.
A little on the pricey side but comes with at least a 2 year warranty.

Custom Dynamics makes good stuff, but I went for a BAL-2-it's stupid bright. But a BAL-1 will be more than bright enough, and not even comparable to stock. A bright, modulated taillight is arguably one of the best safety upgrades one can make on a bike.

Try the Bad *** brake light, direct connect no wiring issues. I had one on my roadking and I loved it.
There is one advertised in the touring market place.

I got a BAL from a forum member here for $127. There is one for sale right now for $130.
BAL1 should fit your year but I recommend you confirm before purchasing.
