Default What touque cam to get

Ok I知 looking at getting a cam for my 17 custom, Now what I知 looking for is something that is bolt in with the stock lifters and head, to enhance the touque performance of the stock engine.

Im looking at getting my scoot pull better around the 3-5 thou rev range as I all ready have rush pipes and a powervision tuner, with a k&n air element , so breatheing is taken care of.

Any suggestions would be great from someone that has all ready gone done this path.

Thanks in advance

Take a look and read through Hammer Performance cam information.

It sounds like you would like their JackHammer 570 cams-
Jackhammer 570 - Bolt-in grind for 2004-up 1200 models.
Designed to give a boost in mid range and top end over the factory "W" cams with no loss in bottom end power.
Ideal for the stock 9.7:1 compression ratio but can be used up to 10:1 with careful tuning.

+1 on the Hammer 570's if that's all you're going to do. As you can see though, you're not going to get any BIG gains with cams alone. IMO, cams and headwork go hand-in-hand and as you can see above, doing cams only isn't going to make a huge difference. Credit though to Aaron at Hammer for squeezing every last once out of a stock motor with the 570's.

FYI, the stock W cams are already pretty darn good if the rest of the motor is going to stay stock.

Try some octane booster. Just don't use too much or you'll blow the rear head .
It's cheaper and easier than swapping cams.
If you like the extra power then change the cams.

It would be wise for you to stop giving advise on here due to your complete lack of knowledge on combustion engines.

If you want to stick with HD cams, your best bet is to stay with the stock W's on your bike. Unless you do compression and/or headwork, it's near impossible to beat the 570's and W's.
