Default compensator problems

What's the consensus for dealing with this on an '08 FXDC? Is a Baker comp worth the extra money? How about their tensioner?

I have after 2 standard and 1 SE compensator installed the Baker compensator, Hayden tensioner and Barnett clutch and couldn’t be happier...I am sure the Baker adjuster works fine, I already had the Hayden so I left it...I can tell the Baker compensator is way more solid and compliant than the SE...I would’ve done it earlier but I had the SE replaced under warranty at 72000 miles before my ESP ran out.

I went with the SE comp and the revised auto chain tensioner from HD. I think I had the revA in my 07 and they're up to a revC or something. Basically, they've redesigned the stock auto tensioner for the late model twin cams. I got that, no issues and much cheaper than baker components. Ordered from surdyke with free shipping.

I have the Baker comp and Hayden tensioner.......love both of them!!

SE Comp about 68000 miles ago... took that POS auto tensioner out and put a Hayden in. Took the Hayden out 4 weekends ago and installed the Baker... couldn't be happier... shifts smoother than it ever has.
There is a Baker comp in my primary's future.

Hayden must have stepped up their game, those things where a joke for shovels & evo's. Got 3 or 4 of them in my junk boxes somewhere...

So all of the guys with Baker's.. How many have 40K on them? Also are the motors built?

I guess they did beef them up a bit, but... much much happier with the Baker adjuster.

I have the Baker Comp and tentioner along with Barnett kevlar clutch, extra disk. Put them in at 50k, at 60k now, absolutely recommend any or all of the above.

Eliminate the compositor totally. Engine sprocket, and forget the problems. No clunking, noise or perts to wear each other out. I've never had a problem on any of my builds. Tens of thousands of miles on high horsepower bikes. Zero issues.
